Blessings loves!

In my previous Proverbs 31 post, I talked about, us as wives, our price being far above rubies. Today I would like to continue the series with the second attribute of a Proverbs 31 wife. Today’s post is based on Proverbs 31:11. Her husband safely trusts her so that he shall have no need to spoil. We all need trust in our marriage for our marriage to grow!

Trust is described as a belief that someone or something is reliable, good, or honest.

Two ways to build trust are:

As proverbs 31 wives, our husband should be able to rely on us to be honest. This means communicating when something is wrong rather than hiding it and saying we are fine. No matter how hard it may be. Honest communication is vital to a thriving marriage. Our husbands may know us, but they can’t read our minds. The same way that we cannot read theirs. If there is something wrong, we should communicate it rather than hold it in and let it fester into resentment. Before you talk to him, pray and ask God to give you the words and tone to have when communicating with your husband.

When our husbands confide in us, we should keep this information sacred so that our husbands trust that they can tell us anything. Not run and tell others, especially if they have asked us not keep the information that they tell us confidential. If we run and tell the private things that they tell us, it will eventually be brought to light and they won’t trust us to tell us anything again. If they can’t trust us as their wives, who can they trust?

How are you building trust in your marriage?

Stay tuned, next Monday for part three of the 10 attributes of a Proverbs 31 Wife series!
