Christmas time is here and I am feeling extra crafty lol! Why? In a few previous posts I shared with you a wonderful organization that I am a part of called MOPS. For our last meeting, we painted ornaments. (You will see them below. They are the smallest ornaments with the words peace and hope.)
After painting these, I really wanted more! So I asked the mommas where they purchased them and they told me where I can order the ornaments! I found some on amazon (link at the end of the post) and the ornaments were bigger. YES!!! WIN!! Lol!
So I ordered them and stocked up on the other supplies! Here is what I came up with!
Here are some of them on the tree!
How did I do it!?
At first I was painting each section one color but I decided to get creative and paint some parts more than one color. Then I thought, ooo let’s add some glitter! 🙂
I painted each ornament with the colors that I wanted.
After allowing to dry, I used some gold acrylic glitter paint on top of the pink love, turquoise peace, and the bottom of the noel ornament.
Tip: For the glitter parts, paint the ornament the color of the glitter that you want.
Allow to dry about 20-30 minutes.
For glitter sections: Take your paint brush and apply a light coat of modge podge on the area you want to glitter. Sprinkle glitter onto the area and allow to dry. Afterwards, apply a thin layer of modge podge on top of the glittered area to prevent the glitter from coming off. Allow to dry.
What you will need:
Acrylic paint your choice of colors 2oz bottles (colors I used are below)
Gold acrylic glitter paint
Glitter (I used small purple glitter & large gold glitter)
